The race that was...

now, what can i say about SJ10K. frustrating and yet i deserve it, to be honest laa. I'm not blaming theStar and the organizer. And i'm sorry that i mentioned that PJ Half was sucks. I did not train hard for it, and i was lazy. Runners should know that anything organize by theStar are always a competitive ones, including the limited no of medals and the strict qualifying time. u want rewards, work harder!!! no short cut!!!

So there i was, promised myself not to walk during the race. And i DID walk. Hampeh. I can't help it. the last long run i did was the nite attack with the guys at putrajaya. and a few short runs after that. And the jerebu and then, the raya. haha.. so damn lacking. ok that's just excuses. Even more frustrating is that i still feel like a beginner eventhough this is like what? my 7th race this year? Sigh... ini semua salah sendiri okay. Next year, no more targetting 'Janji Habis'. Should be 'Finish strong'.

Along the way, i saw Jaja, de aerobic instructor. Kuat minah nih. I couldn't keep up with her pace. And then, after a while i saw a small lady wearing the triathlonmalaysia.com vest. Tengok2 it was Patsy. I terus tegur. haha... my idol. She's a 60++ old woman but she has a 20 yr old physique. Percayalah. U can go and ask her how many times she did ironman? marathon berapa kali? triahtlon? what an inspiration. a woman at her age, and she already achieved so much.

ok, now dah almost near the finishing line. i really wanted to finish it before the qualifying time of 75 mins. and i was a few steps to it when i heard the official said 3-2-1 and right there, the gun went off right in front of my face. dah habis... bagero... now, u see how frustrated i am? dejavu. running long distance and didn't get anything. And again, i'm blaming myself. With the flat route, all the way, this should be easy. and i blew it. Well, that was quite an experience and indeed, a valuable lesson. I want it, i should work hard for it. it's that simple.

my maiden duathlon race this weekend and 2 more races the next weekend. thx eugene and su ming for the ride. thx jaja for the hospitality. Purps, it's nice to finally talk to u in person. Azman, don't worry, u'll get better and better. Jueliana, i hope that u found ur key. Stupe, where art thou? who else? kimberly and dino and steph? u guys finished it strong as usual. SJ10K, i'll be back. this time with revenge...
